Welcome to our new blog! We’re thrilled to have more space to share our goings-on with you. Every day, our clients touch our hearts and give us the motivation, inspiration and encouragement to continue onward with our mission: brining dignity, self-respect and hope to Houston’s homeless and poor.
You may know that, in addition to The Beacon Day Center, we have three other core programs that help carry out this mission:
- Brigid’s Hope at The Beacon
- Cathedral Justice Project at The Beacon
- Cathedral Clinic at The Beacon
Our services are run by talented, big-hearted, all-around amazing individuals. We also have a dedicated core of volunteers, without whom, we would not be able to run THE BEACON the way we do.
Our volunteers perform 85% of our services.
Our blog will spotlight our clients’ successes, our dedicated volunteers and our hard-working employees.
